Cacao & Coconut Protein balls

Prep time 25 minutes,  Makes 14.

  • 140g (1cup) toasted Lupin Flakes
  • 30g (½ cup) shredded coconut
  • 30g (¼ cup) almond meal
  • 2 tsp cacao
  • 95g (¾ cup) dates
  • 150ml  water
  • 2 tsp cacao
  • Extra shredded coconut to coat.


Add Lupin Flakes to a hot dry pan and stir continuously over medium heat for 3 – 4 minutes until golden, or roast on a baking tray in a low oven (150°C) until golden.  Allow to cool.

Use a food processor or blender to combine all ingredients until just blended, be careful to not overmix as some texture is preferred rather than a very smooth paste.

Roll into 30g golf size balls and then roll in shredded coconut.

These can be stored in the freezer to keep their freshness longer.
